First up in the Garden

A bit of a slow start to spring this year. If I look closely at the garden a few of my friends are showing. The first up was the Angelica archangelica. What a great name, it just feels good to say it out loud.

The aerial parts can be harvested in the late spring and summer. The root is best harvested in the autumn of the plant's first year of growth and can be used fresh or dried.
