Culver's Root (Veronicastrum virginicum)

It's a mass of small roots and rhizomes. These are dug during dormancy, dried and aged for at least 6 months before using for tinctures.

Once these have dried for a few weeks I will put them in a cloth bag and hang them in the basement.
