Medicine Bags

I view medicine bags as a to way to carry a memory, prayer or protection with us. Often folks use them to carry a crystal, herbs, or other precious mementos to remind them of loved ones or of cherished places.

I keep a stone in mine to remind me of a very special place which brings me good memories and a place to visualize.

I like making medicine bags from wax linen or leather because they soften over time and wear well. They are decorated with beads, metal or stone but the important part of the bag is what you place inside.
